Your viewing history is visible to anyone using your account on a computer or streaming device. Unfortunately, because profiles aren’t restricted, anybody utilizing your account on a computer or streaming device can see what you’ve been watching. Fortunately, if you watched anything that you don’t want others to know about, Netflix now allows you to modify your viewing history.

Open the Profile & Parental Controls preferences for the profile you wish to secure. Set the Profile Lock option to On. Enter your Netflix account password. Select a profile that has the Require a PIN option enabled. Check the box next to Enable PIN Access To This Account in order to limit access to specific profiles or groups of profiles.

On the left-hand corner, click on the user’s profile name and choose to Hide My Activity. On the Activity page, next to the episode or title you want to hide, click the hidden symbol. If you conceal an episode, you’ll have the choice of hiding also the series. At the bottom of the screen, select Hide all and confirm?

Select the option “Remove all profiles” at the bottom of the drop-down menu. Select a user from your activity report by clicking his/her photo in the upper-right corner of the screen. Under My Profile, click Account to view your viewing activity. Remove titles from your viewing history by clicking next to them.

You’ll get an email from Netflix informing you that there’s been a new login to your account. In fact, Netflix notifies its customers about illegal login attempts. It’s also a good idea to make sure you have access to the email address you use to log in.
