Click the Trash” folder in the left-hand pane to permanently erase the emails. Click the box next to or above each email you want to delete or select all emails by clicking the box next to the email pane. Once selected, click “Delete Forever.

On your device, there is a message that is causing a sync problem. You delete it, but your phone can’t sync, so the notification immediately returns to your inbox after 10 seconds. Delete the emails from your email account using the web page login and remove them from there.
