You can permanently and immediately delete your Facebook account in 2021, despite what the social network may want. The distinction between deactivating an account and canceling it is that you will be unable to access any of your material or information that you’ve shared on the site.

Click here to go to the main Facebook site. -> Log in to your Facebook account by clicking here. Select Settings from the drop-down menu at the top right. Go to Settings and Privacy if you do not see this option. Choose Account Information, then Continue Deletion if it isn’t already checked off. Select Permanently Delete Account.

Click the upper right corner of Facebook. Select Settings & Privacy from the drop-down menu. Click Your Facebook Information in the left column. Choose Deactivation and Deletion from the menu. Then, under Permanently Delete Account, choose Continue to Account Deletion and click Continue.

It takes 90 days for Facebook to delete your account. That is the length of time it will take Facebook to erase your personal information from its databases.
