Open Facebook. select “Settings.” from the drop-down menu, choose “Your Facebook Information.” Select “Off-Facebook Activity” from the drop-down menu. Click “Manage Off-Facebook Activity” to record your actions. Remove any history from your computer.

Open Settings > Security > Advanced and check Encryption & credentials. If Encrypt phone isn’t already selected, choose it. Then go to Settings > System > Advanced and select Reset options. Select Erase all data (factory reset) and hit Delete all data.

It might take Facebook anywhere from 90 to 180 days to erase all of your account information from its servers. For the first 30 days, you’ll be able to log in and cancel your request for deletion. Your account will be restored, and it will seem as if you never left.

After you delete your Facebook account, the company claims to keep “backup copies for a reasonable amount of time,” which can be up to three months. It also says that it may store data from terminated accounts and erase personal identifiers.

Go to Settings > Backup & reset. Reset the phone by choosing Factory data from the drop-down menu. Check the box labeled Erase phone data on the following screen. If this option is available on your phone, some phones enable you to remove content from the memory card; proceed with caution if this option is available on your device.
