Windows Live Mail stores deleted emails in the Deleted Items folder.
If you delete an email from your inbox, it’s gone for good. However, if you delete an email from your trash or spam folders, it can be recovered. To recover an email from your trash or spam folders, open the folder and click the “undelete” or “recover” button.
To restore Windows Live Mail, you will need to uninstall and reinstall the program. First, open Programs and Features by clicking the Start button , clicking Control Panel, clicking Programs, and then clicking Programs and Features. Locate Windows Live Mail in the list of installed programs, and then click Uninstall. When you are prompted, click Yes to confirm that you want to uninstall Windows Live Mail. After Windows Live Mail is uninstalled, reinstall it by downloading it from the Microsoft website.
To backup your emails in Windows Live Mail, first open the program and then click on the File tab. Select Export and then choose Email Messages. To backup your Windows Live emails to an external hard drive, you will need to export them from Windows Live. To do this, open Windows Live Mail and click on the “File” menu. Then, select “Export” and choose a location to save the exported emails.
To save emails from Windows Live Mail to a USB drive, you’ll need to export them as files. In Windows Live Mail, select the emails you want to export and click File > Export > Messages. Select a location on your computer to save the exported files, and click Save.
