Step 1: Open Dota 2
Open Dota 2 and either create a new account or log into your existing account if you have not done so already. On the first screen (the Play Dota box) click PLAY . You should now see “Play some Dota”. Click on that button and wait for the matchmaking process to begin (note that it may take some time depending on your connection).
Step 2: Quit Dota 2
Once you have been matched and the game is ready to begin, simply click on your Dota 2 portrait at the top of the screen. After a short time you should see the Dota 2 main menu appear. From there click “Settings” (the gear icon), then “More Options”, followed by “Quit Dota”. You will now be prompted to confirm that you want to quit Dota 2. Clicking “Yes” will close Dota 2.
Step 3: Remove Dota 2
Now you can open your Steam Library and click the “Games” tab at the top of the window. Dota 2 should appear in your library. Clicking on Dota 2 will display information about Dota 2 including its size, number of owners, last played time, etc (an image is provided below). Right-click Dota 2 and select “Delete Local Content…” from the menu that appears. A pop-up window labeled “Are you sure you want to delete all the local content?” will appear. Click on “Yes”. You have now successfully removed Dota 2 from your Steam Library!
Step 4: Close Dota Client and Delete Dota Folder
Close Dota by clicking on your Dota 2 portrait at the top of the screen and clicking “Quit”. Once you have quit everyone’s favorite MOBA, open Windows Explorer/File Explorer (depending on your version of windows) and navigate to C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\dota 2 beta\game . Delete everything EXCEPT dota2.exe , content , pack1 , materialssystem (if present). If you need help finding these files check out this article from Dota2.com .
Deleting old replays from the dota 2 app might make it easier for you to open your replays folder.
To exclude tags, find your account on the top right of Wunderlist (next to your wallet). Click on ‘Preferences,’ scroll a bit down to ‘Tags to Exclude.’ You can type in tags here that you don’t want future reminders about.
