Your account will be permanently deleted, including your profile, pictures, postings, videos, and everything else you’ve added. You won’t be able to retrieve anything you’ve posted before or done on Facebook Messenger. Facebook Messenger will no longer be available for use.
Click Deactivation and Deletion in the left column. Select Permanently Delete Account and then Continue to Account Deletion. Click Delete Account, type your password, and then Continue.
When you deactivate your Facebook account, no notification is sent out. Unless they try to look for your now-deleted profile or inquire about it in person, your friends will have no idea that you’ve disconnected.
If a user has blocked you, you won’t be able to see their profile since links will revert back to plain text. Their name will remain on your timeline, but you won’t be able to click on it.
After you’ve deactivated your Facebook account, Messenger will continue to work. Using Messenger after deactivating your Facebook account won’t reactivate it, and your Facebook friends can still contact you.
