EDIT 1: Just a clarification that I actually want the app removed from my home screen entirely and be able to link it with samsung pass or just simply use iris scan. Not sure if this is possible but its worth asking.
EDIT 2: I did follow up with one of your answers but still not working. It says “Unable to launch application” in samsung pay wallet section after setting fingerprint, pin, or pattern lock (for error: 0x86400096). Please help if you have any idea. Thanks!
1.- Goto Settings->NFC and tap on the toggle next to ‘Samsung pay’ so that this setting becomes greyed out.
2.- Go back to Home Screen and tap on and hold the shortcut for Samsung Pay until ‘Move’ option appears. Select it, move the icon to any place you like, and leave your finger there for a second. A new pop-up screen will show up which offers you to replace this shortcut with something else (for example: Google Chrome). Tap on it to change.
3.- Done! 🙂
P.S: For the sake of completeness, there is another way for you to simply disable Samsung Pay on your device but in my opinion it’s not worth going through all that trouble as you will have to repeat this process every time you get a new phone or factory restore your old one… So, I’d rather use the simpler method above which is much more permanent and easy.
4.- Furthermore, if you don’t want to use any mobile payments service at all, then remove/disable fingerprint scanner / pin/pattern lock from Android Settings (Settings => Security) and then check out how to disable Google services . 🙂 Cheers!
Hello there! I have 2 problems as of now with Samsung Pay. 1st one is that the samsung pay shortcut is not removable from my Samsung Galaxy S5 Neo Home Screen no matter what I do. The second issue is that whenever i tap on Pay with Samsung and hold it, the following message appears: Unable to launch application – 0x86400096 and then a few seconds later the message says This app doesn’t seem to work (can’t get a token). Try reinstalling the app or restarting your device/phone. Is there anyway to fix these issues? Thanks in advance for any help you can provide!:)
This will open the list of apps installed on your Android phone. Scroll down and tap Samsung Pay. This app is located in the “S” section of apps. Tap DISABLE.
If your card does not appear when you swipe up from the bottom of your screen, it is likely because it has not been marked as a favorite.
Check out our tutorials on how to get rid of this:…Tap “Display” in the menu, and then tap “Navigation Bar” in the Display section.
1 Open the Settings app and select the Display option.2 Scroll down and t ick Gestures on the navigation bar to switch to gestures.4 Select whether or not you’d like to use Gesture Hints, which will appear at the bottom of your screen as lines instead of large buttons.
On your Android device, swipe down on the upper right corner of the screen. When the options pull-over menu opens up, tap on “Settings.” Choose from one of4 options – such as Swipe actions — and select your desired action for that section of mail.
