Go to Settings Cellular Data on the new iPad. Set up Cellular Data is the option you’ll see under Settings Cellular Data. If a Transfer option appears next to the carrier you want, select it. Then follow the steps to connect your account. The activation may take a few minutes to complete.

If your iPhone or iPad cellular data isn’t working, you can try pressing and holding the Sleep/Wake button for 10 seconds to turn it off and back on, checking for carrier or system updates, turning cellular data or airplane mode off and on again, and, as a last resort, resetting your phone.
