To temporarily disable your account, go to your profile and select Profile. Then Edit Your Account. In the bottom right of the screen, touch or click Temporarily suspend my account. Select a reason from the drop-down menu next to Why are you stopping using your account? Then re-enter your password.
Shayan, You can deactivate your account for a total of 15 days. The only way your profile will be deleted is if you select to erase it permanently.
You can deactivate your Facebook account for a limited period of time if you don’t want to erase everything (I know, I’ve been there). It’s called the “super-logoff” and was a ruse employed by early privacy-conscious users when they went away from the site.
Facebook does not notify you when you deactivate your account, and there is no way for friends to find out unless they search for your now-inactive profile or ask you in person.
