Open the Instagram app on your iPhone or Android device. Tap the down arrow next to your Instagram username at the top of the screen. Select the account you want to remove from the drop-down menu. In the top-right corner, tap three lines.

To change the password, go to Settings by tapping the Gear icon. Select Security Settings from the list on the Settings page. Locate and select the ‘Saved Login Information’ option on the list. Turn off the switch next to ‘Saved Login Information’ and then ON it again.

Go to Instagram.com in your browser (not the app) and log into the account you want to delete. If you don’t see anything, click here. Select the reason for your account’s deletion. Re-enter your password again. Select “Permanently remove my account.”

Open the Settings menu. Tap Apps (this might also be Apps & Notifications or Application Manager, depending on your device and Android version). Instagram should be visible from the list of applications. Select Storage from the drop-down menu. Clear storage or Clear data may be selected by tapping it.

Select “Delete My Account” from the drop-down menu next to the query “Why are you deleting your account?” You must choose one. When you’ve chosen a reason, a “Permanently Delete My Account” tab will appear. Select it and your account will be permanently deleted.
