To unlink an email account from Instagram, head to the Settings tab on your profile. Select “Linked Accounts” at the bottom of the page and then click on “Unlink Account.” Select the email account you want to unlink and confirm by pressing “Unlink Account.

An account can be deleted if it has been inactive for at least 30 days. The account will need to have a username and password, and the user will need to log in with their credentials. If you are unable to log in, the account is still active and cannot be deleted.

You can’t delete an Instagram account that you don’t have access to anymore. If the account is still in your name, you’ll need to contact Instagram and request they remove it.

You can delete your recovery email by going to the settings on your phone and deleting it from there.
