You can delete accounts you’ve established, but you can’t remove every account or log out of Messenger. Remember that at least one account must be operational. You won’t be able to eliminate the account you’re presently using. Tap your profile photo in the top left corner of Chats after selecting a chat.
In case you’re wondering, they will not be erased from your account. Nothing terrible happens to your old conversations or photos on Messenger. You may access them by reinstalling the Messenger software or visiting them on a PC.
What Happens If You Delete Messenger? Now that you know how to delete Facebook Messenger, no one will be able to see your profile or send you messages in existing discussions. If you only want to keep the Messenger service, you’ll have to deactivate your Facebook account again.
The simplest method to turn off Facebook Messenger is through the Facebook app. On the right-hand side of the Facebook app, tap the menu symbol and scroll down until you reach App Settings. After you’ve navigated to your settings, look at the bottom and uncheck the Chat option.
