1. Log into your Facebook account and click on the down arrow at the top right of your Facebook page then select “Settings” from the dropdown menu that appears

  2. On the left hand side of your settings page, under Account Settings, select Blocking (I’m not sure if this is what’s called but it would be) Then below Choose Block List:, click Find More Friends to Block

  3. A box will pop up asking you are you sure you’d like to block all your friends? You click yes and then another box pops up asking for users who are not in your friends list? Go ahead and type in the usernames of people you don’t want on Facebook, one by one.

  4. Once you’ve inputted the username(s) of everyone you seek to be rid of, hit Block»Block Selected Users

  5. A box comes up confirming that they have been blocked

  6. They will no longer be able to see what’s on your profile or what you post when they search for you. The only way they can get back into your account is if you unblock them or add them as a friend which is annoying because now I will be getting messages from them saying “Why did you block me when I thought we were friends?

No matter how much trouble they give you, do not unblock anyone. The reason for this is because once someone has been blocked on Facebook, there’s no way to tell who has seen the things that person posted on your wall or in your inbox.

To make sure an ex-boyfriend (or girlfriend) doesn’t see anything he/she posted on your profile, just go into your settings and select Friends & Lists. Then click Edit List»Select All»Hide From »Friends of friends

This will completely hide everything so even someone with 500 ‘friends of friends’ won’t be able to see what was written.

On your Timeline, there are ways of hiding posts from certain people too, if you know their names or usernames. Go to the post you want to hide and click Edit» Hide Post» From »Name/Username (depending on what’s visible) who posted it. This is irritating for friends though because they would have liked to see anything that was going on in your life at that time but now can’t anymore!

The best way to get rid of Facebook friends is by going into each friend’s profile one by one and selecting Unfriend from the dropdown menu under Friends listed next to the “Add Friend” button. You do this by clicking on the person’s name then checking off all of his/her friends you would like to unfriend.

Now I will say this though, Facebook keeps track of who is your friend and who isn’t! It’s not a smart idea to delete or block all your Facebook friends because then if they search for you one day, when they click on your name in the top right corner it says You have no friends! And then they’ll think “Oh so she blocked me after all” or maybe even worse “Wow I never thought she was any good.”

That’s why simply unfriending people works better because that way you look cool as well as get rid of annoying people. Once again though, do not go around hiding stuff because people will think you’re an idiot.
