I need a solution for my PS4, so I can delete all the game installation files from my hard drive and free up storage space (ex: Killzone) as much as possible… It’s not enough space for other games.. Please help me with step by step instructions.. Thank you very much! Have a nice day ahead 🙂 Edit: I have deleted the games via USB cable with a PC.
Thanks for the help! 😀 The instructions were very helpful and easy to follow! Thanks again!! 🙂 Edit: Amazing how fast everyone answered my question, thank you so much!! But what if I need more storage space than 500 GB? Is there any way to delete all of the uninstalled games via usb cable or something like that?? It’s not enough space for other games.. Thank you very much! Have a nice day ahead 🙂 Edit: Nope ..not possible..I was able to recover about 60gb from deleting a bunch of movies on my ps4…that’s really it. Nothing major will free up your system’s hard drive unless they allow us access directly to the hdd.
Even then a lot of games still run off dlc that’s stored on your hard drive which you can’t delete from an external source without uninstalling it first to free space or wiping the entire system clean. Delete any video content and games you don’t want/need and do not install any new games until you are able to buy another sata hdd for ps4 (or just cancel any preorders). I’m sure many will disagree with this but I would rather have too much storage than not enough for my use personally.
Sony says that Other storage space is “reserved for system data needed for games and apps to work properly.” The amount of reserved space varies depending on how your console will be used.
To delete the application, find the game and press the options button before going to “Delete,” then pressing “OK.” This will remove all patches and any DLC you have for the game.
According to Sony, the “Other” data type is needed for running games and files necessary for using the PS5 system.
If you do not want to delete the games stored in your PS4 console, then options include downloading from another device or upgrading storage.
Connect the USB drive to a USB port on the back of the PS5 console. Navigate to Settings > Storage and select USB Extended Storage > Format as USB ExtendedStorage. When there are multiple drives connected, you can switch between them by selecting Select Another USER Drive.
Yes, you can have two primary PS4 consoles. To set up a second primary PS4, you’ll need to first deactivate your current primary PS4. Then, follow the on-screen instructions to set up your new primary PS4.
If you activate another PS4 as your primary console, the original console will become a secondary console. You can only have one primary console and up to 10 secondary consoles. Any user accounts that were registered on the original primary console will be available on the new primary console, but any data that was stored on the original primary console will not be available.
You can change your primary PS4 as often as you like, but only one PS4 can be your primary PS4 at a time.
To activate your PS4 as primary without internet, you will need to use a USB cable to connect your PS4 to your computer. Then, open the Settings app on your PS4 and go to PlayStation Network/Account Management > Activate as Primary.
Yes, child accounts can play online PS4. There are a few parental controls that can be set to restrict certain content and online interactions.
